Most, if not all, the digimode clubs offer an awards program of some description. Some just offer a few basic awards for working/hearing members, while some offer awards for working/hearing various countries, modes, members, islands, continents etc etc. The EPC offers well over 400 awards, below are some of the 300+ I have been awarded (there are a few that I am proud to be the first recipient of the particular award: award #0001, whereas others have seen several hundred issued.). The 30MDG also offers almost 90 awards, some of which are extremely difficult and others take a long time (such as the “3000 QSO’s on 30m using digital modes”). All of the awards are sent as high quality PDF files which can be printed out for framing if desired. I have printed out a few where I have achieved the highest award offered in a particular series. It’s good fun and doesn’t cost anything, which is more than can be said for some ‘traditional’ awards such as the DXCC etc. The other thing is that for most you don’t require QSL cards, although some entries are checked with the logged stations just to ensure fair play. I have no objection to this, after all there is no fun displaying an award that you have not earned!
